General Questions

I have little to no experience with sending an email campaign, can you provide guidance?

Yes. We have years of experience in email marketing which we will happily share to help you get the most from your campaign.

Can I set up campaigns to send out in the future, when I am away on business for instance?

Yes. Within the settings you can select an exact date and time that your campaign is sent out. You can even arrange for a series of campaigns to be sent over a given period.

Who has access to my account apart from me?

Monito staff can access your account, but only to provide any support or maintenance. No one else can access your account.

How are unsubscribes dealt with?

Once a person chooses to unsubscribe from receiving further emails from you Monito ensures that you cannot include this email address in a future campaign.

What does Monito do to make sure my emails get delivered?

Monito has established relationships with the leading ISPs and blacklists. Monito is dedicated to doing everything possible to make sure your email gets delivered successfully.

Is this Spam?

No. Monito is an effective marketing tool used to send targeted emails to only those that have opted to receive emails and then allow one to monitor the success of the campaign. Can I access my account from anywhere in the world?

Yes. As Monito is a web based application you can access your account from any machine with internet access to send and view your campaigns.

Is there training available?

Absolutely. We are here to help you get the most from your campaign and provide both telephone and email support for any queries you may have.

Can I download Monito as a software package?

No. Monito is a web based application and not a software package. There are a number of reasons why we chose to create Monito in this way and they include:

You can only monitor an email campaign using a web based application
You can access your email marketing account from anywhere in the world
Automated bounce management and one-click unsubscribe
Your account will never go out of date; no need to upgrade (at a cost) to a new version in the future as currently occurs with software packages

What if Monito doesn’t do something I want?

Tell us! We are always refining and evolving Monito so that it is the best system available. If you need it to do something which would be beneficial to everyone, we’ll develop it at no extra cost.

Database / Email Lists

Whose servers do my database and email templates sit on?

At Monito we have dedicated servers that are backed up and supported to ensure that your account and data is secure.

Who owns the data we upload onto your servers?

You do. We do not make any of your data available to third parties and abide by all Data Protection Acts.

Is there a limit for the number of opt in emails in each database?

No, there isn't a limit.

I have a database of contacts – how easy is it to integrate this database with Monito?

Monito allows for simple integration with practically all types of database. The process is straight forward and is automated with the help of the set-up wizard.

If I want to use the email addresses I have in my Outlook Address book, how do I integrate them in to Monito?

To import your addresses from Microsoft Outlook you must export your Outlook Contact folder. Click here for step-by-step instructions.

What if I don't have an email list?

There are various ways to grow an email database and you may be surprised how many email addresses you already have in your existing email account, business card collection and records.

Each time you make any contact with your clients and prospects, for example, trade shows or conferences invite them to provide their email address for inclusion in your database.

I have more than one database; can I upload this onto your servers?

Yes. You can upload as many databases as you like. Monito even allows you to segment and group your database into userlists as required allowing you to send targeted emails to specific groups.

Emails / Templates

How many templates can I upload to Monito?

There is no limit to the number of templates you may upload allowing you to create numerous campaigns targeting specific groups within your database.

We do not have designers to advise us how best to create our templates, can you help?

Yes. We have been creating templates for emarketing purposes for a number of years and can ensure your brand is correctly represented and carried forward in your email campaigns.

Do I need to know HTML to create an email campaign?

No, you will be able to create professional email campaigns by simply pasting your content in to our wizard driven templates.

Can I use my own HTML to create emails?

Yes. You can get your existing design or web agency to create your own HTML templates which you can then upload to your Monito account.

What if I want my email campaigns to match my website and I don’t see a standard template that looks similar?

Monito offers a template branding service. You work with us to design a customised template in keeping with your brand and company style.

Reporting

Can I view campaign statistics from my PC?

Yes. You can view all statistics from any PC provided it has internet access but you can also download and print out the statistics to present during your marketing meetings.

Can I see who opens my email campaigns?

Yes. With Monito you can viewed exactly which contacts received and opened your email.

Does Monito give me any information on the bounced emails?

Yes. The reporting provides comprehensive listings of each email that bounces and also provides possible reasons why, for example, the recipient’s inbox is full.

Can I download and print out the campaign statistics?

Yes. Monito allows you to download and print out campaign statistics to use and present during your marketing meetings.
